STEVEN SWANK
BLUFFTON — Steven C. Swank, 55, passed away March 11, 2017 at Bluffton Hospital. Steve was born October 19, 1961 in Bluffton to the late Charles and Helen (Zuercher) Swank.
Steve was a 1980 graduate of Bluffton High School. He was the owner/operator of S & K Mower of Bluffton that he owned for 25 years before becoming a custodian at Allen East High School. He was a retired member of the Bluffton Fire Department after serving over 30 years where he had served as a captain. Steve was a past member of the Bluffton Sportsman's Club and the Sons of the American Legion. He thoroughly enjoyed attending his niece and nephews sporting events and coached the only traveling flag football team in Bluffton. Steve was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Survivors include a brother, Jeff (Kim) Swank of Bluffton, two nephews, Travis (Kayla) Swank of Bluffton, Kyle Swank of Bluffton; a niece, Ashley (Dan) Stratton of Cincinnati; great nieces and great nephew, Jessa, Kenna, Mara Swank and Charles Stratton; an aunt, Nora Swank-Mericle of Bluffton and his best friends, Mike (Jane) Richards of Bluffton.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Todd Cosart officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bluffton Fire & EMS or the Bluffton Athletic Boosters.

I was too late to get back in touch with my cousins after all these years. Texted his name yesterday, to contact him, only to find out he went to join the Lord and all of our family in Heaven. My prayers go out to Jeff and all loved ones. Kathy Curran..Aunt Marge's daughter.
