Susan Tomlinson Obituary
ELIDA -- Susan Jane Tomlinson, 77, of Elida, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born on November 19, 1947, in Lima, Susan was the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Baxter) Kiracofe. She married Jerry Nolte in 1968, and after his passing, she was blessed to find love again with Larry E. Tomlinson. Susan and Larry shared 36 wonderful years together.
Susan lived her days with patience, kindness, and quiet strength. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She worked for 20 years as a cashier in the Elida Middle School cafeteria,
Susan found joy in life's simple pleasures-fishing, reading, finishing a jigsaw puzzle, or playing cards with family and friends. But nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her grandchildren.
Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry; her son, Jason (Jennifer) Nolte; her daughter, Jill (Jeff) Weth; her stepdaughter, Lori Tomlinson (Glen Stephens); and her beloved grandchildren- Jane & Vivian Nolte and Jacob & Jenna Weth. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Quincy) Kiracofe; her sister, Cindy (Willie) Barnes; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jerry Nolte, and her brother-in-law, Jeff Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the time of the service, officiated by Chaplain Glory Geib.
Susan will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be made to Interim Hospice.

Larry, Cindy, Bob and family~
We are saddened to hear of your family's loss of a special lady, Susan. We have many fond memories of year's past, when our Rise family and the Kiracofe family spent many hours together...fish fries, adults playing cards, while us kids played games!
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all during the coming days. May you all find comfort knowing Susan is with our Lord and Savior.

Susan and her family and my family were friends since childhood. She was a special person. To Bob, Cindy and Larry and his family I am very sorry for your loss. May the good Lord put his arms around you and give you comfort and peace.

Susan was raised around the corner from where I grew up, my dad and her dad were both farmers, and good friends. When my dad passed away on Dec. 24, 1976, I still remember her dad coming to the funeral home for visitation.
Larry and her children have my sympathies. May she rest in peace.

Larry, I am sorry for your loss, will the memories of Susan bring you comfort.
I am April Conway, a daughter of Bob and Phyllis Conway. I have lived in Florida for 53 years. Throughout the years I have tried to contact Lori and was unable to find her. This is a terrible way to find long lost family.
I am happy to find you and Lori and that you and Susan had 36 wonderful years together. Take care.

It was quite shock this morning to view the passing of Susan. At a class luncheon a friend and I were talking about Susan. Everyone in our class of 66 has great respect and wonderful memories of her. We all are saddened and heartbroken. May God bless the family with peace and comfort .
