SUSIE DOWNING
ADA — Susie H. Downing, age 94, died on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:10 PM at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.
She was born on October 6, 1921 in Kenton, Ohio to Leslie and Cordie (Spradlin) Risner who preceded her in death. On November 29, 1941 she married Clarence E. Downing and he died on March 11, 1963.
Susie was a homemaker and a former medical secretary at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima for many years. She was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren, Rural Ada.
Susie is survived by her two sons: Bud (Eva) Downing of Lima and David Downing of Findlay; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Chaplain Bill Herr officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm Street, Bluffton, Ohio 45817.
