HARROD — Thomas N. King, 76, formerly of Grove City passed away at 6:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Bluffton Hospital.
He was born on March 21, 1945 in Owensdale, PA to Enos and Doris (Brothers) King, who both preceded him in death. He married Joyce (Lint) King, who preceded him in death on March 26, 2016.
Thomas was a painter and worked for Allen Brother's Painting Company, retiring in 2005. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. He adored his wife, and they were always on the go together.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post 0164, the VFW Post 3363 both of Grove City, OH. He loved to play rummy and watch the Carol Burnett Show, Red Skelton and the Lone Ranger. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Thomas loved his dog Maxi, who passed away a few years ago and his grand-dogs Helga, Jullian and Vanilla.
Survivng are his son Brian (Gretchen) King of Harrod, OH; his grandchildren Zoe and Matti; his brothers Dick (Trudy) King of Florida, Mitch, Buck (Kim), Bill (Carol) King all of Pennsylvania; his sisters Elizabeth (Pete) Miller of Florida, Phil King and Juanita (Bob) Mihalcia both of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Donnie King; his sister Carol Merrit; his sister-in-law Linda King.
There will be no visitation or services at this time.
There will be a graveside committal of his cremated remains beside his wife in Grove City Cemetery, Grove City, OH at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, where military honors will be performed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

I am sorry to see this, nearly a year too late. Tom worked for my grandfather, and later, my father, at Allen Brother's Painting. He was a very sweet man. Definitely a favorite of mine out of my dad's employees. Tom also taught me how to tie my shoes while we sat on the bumper of a work truck! God bless you, Tom!
