WEST MILTON -- Timothy James Dawe, 65, passed away quietly at his home in West Milton, Ohio on June 5, 2024.
Tim was born on July 18, 1958, in Lima, Ohio. He graduated from Lima Senior High in 1976, earning the honor of Co-Salutatorian. He earned his B.A. from The Ohio State University in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics in 1980 where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and then earned his J.D. Degree (cum laude) from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1990.
Tim made it a priority to spend time with family, especially watching Ohio State sports, and enjoyed researching genealogy. He loved to write and participated in several writers' groups while working to perfect his novel. He continued his love for education by teaching classes at Sinclair Community College. Tim was young in spirit and enthusiastically collected and played games, created art, and enjoyed music. He was kind and gentle and had a strong faith in God. He also had a great love for animals.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Dawe (1930-1988), and mother, Nancy (Ohler) Dawe (1932-2022). He was the oldest of five children, and is survived by siblings: Daniel Dawe (Delphos, Ohio), Lisa (Dawe) Meere (St. Helens, Oregon), Susan (Dawe) Oliver (Milford, Ohio), and Joel Dawe (Lima, Ohio).
He was the loving uncle to Nils Meere (St. Helens, Oregon), Ashley Abbott (Columbus, Ohio), and Joseph Abbott (Bellevue, Kentucky).
