TIMOTHY GARLOCK
Timothy Michael "Mike" Garlock, 32, of Lima passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on September 13, 1982 in Lima to Timothy and Diane (Stinebaugh) Garlock, who survive in Lima. On October 10, 2008 he married Ami Baughman, who survives in Lima.
Mike was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a 2001 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School.
After high school Mike moved to Bowling Green, OH for several years but would eventually return to Lima. It was on his return that he met Ami, the love of his life, and married her. Ami gave Mike the opportunity to discover his true purpose in life, being a father and husband. Mike remained an avid supporter of LCC, especially athletics. He could be found at football and basketball games throughout the year, as well as, on the course as LCC's junior varsity golf coach. Mike's love for golf was unquestioned, but could not compare to his love of family and friends. He was given more hurdles in life than most but you would never know it, because for all of his strength he was that much more humble. Mike loved life and lived everyday with the purpose of sharing that love with the people around him. He will forever be missed. Go Birds! Go Irish! Go Reds! Go Browns!
Surviving are his two sons Reed and Brayden; his brother David Garlock of Perrysburg; his two sisters Megan (Cody Breakwell) Garlock of Lima and Elizabeth (Jacob Rex) Garlock of Findlay; his paternal grandmother Patricia Garlock of Lima; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Michael and Carole Baughman of Lima; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Joseph Garlock and his maternal grandparents James and Alice Stinebaugh of Wapakoneta.
Mike had worked at the Lima Sheriff's Department in the records department. He was a member of the Lima B.P.O. Elks Lodge #54. He was a member of the Bluffton and the Hidden Creek Golf Clubs.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church.
