WAPAKONETA - Timothy Joseph Kuehl, 65, of Wapakoneta, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
Born on September 30, 1959, in Lima, to Robert and Mary (Mertz) Kuehl, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susie Staley, niece Pamela Lange, and sister-in-law Cheryl Kuehl.
On September 27, 1980, Tim married the love of his life, Andrea L. Harpest, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years. He is survived by Andrea; their three children, Alicia (John) Wagner of Maumee, Justin (fiancée Lyndsy Copus) Kuehl of Wapakoneta, and Amber (Mark) Lammardo of Wapakoneta; eight beloved grandchildren, Liv, Jack, Emily, Camdin, Eli, Clayton, Dalton, and Anika; his siblings Daniel Kuehl, Karl Kuehl, and Sandy Winget; his parents-in-law, John and Loretta Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
Tim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose family brought him boundless joy. An avid outdoorsman, he excelled in whitetail deer hunting and found peace and purpose in the wilderness. His love for nature and hunting was a defining part of his life, and he passed down his knowledge and passion to his children and grandchildren.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Tim had a heart of gold beneath his strong-willed exterior. His kindness, loyalty, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Family and friends may gather from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where a short funeral ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Mercy Health Hospice, 545 W. Market Street, Suite 200, Lima, OH 45801. A spring Celebration of Life will be held at the family farm to honor his memory, details to come.
