Timothy Rhine Obituary

LIMA -- Timothy "Tim" L. Rhine, Jr., 42, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025.

He was born on September 1, 1983, in Lima, OH, to the late Timothy "Tim" Rhine, Sr. and Sonya (Winegardner) Neff, who survives in Delphos, OH, along with her husband, Donald "Donnie" Neff.

Tim graduated from Shawnee High School. He was a true car enthusiast and proud owner of a 1979 Camaro. He had a deep love for music, especially rock bands such as Metallica and AC/DC, and enjoyed playing his guitar and working with his Fender amp. Tim also liked following the stock market and investing in silver. He found peace in the outdoors, often enjoying the rustic beauty of Hocking Hills, hiking nature trails, and spending time outside.

Family was very important to Tim, and he treasured every gathering, especially during the holidays. He took Nicholas, Ethan and Sophie under his wing, always showing a big heart and a willingness to help anyone in need. He shared a special bond with his cousin, Favian "Buddy," and the two were inseparable. Tim was known for his laughter, kindness, patience, and calm spirit.

He is survived by his mother, Sonya (Donald "Donnie") Neff of Delphos, OH; brother, Jason Winegardner of Lima, OH; niece and nephew, Brayden Winegardner of Delphos, OH, and Taryn Winegardner of Toledo, OH; sister, Carmen (Christy) Rhine-McLean of Wapakoneta, OH; nieces and nephew, Caleb Young of Wapakoneta, OH, Chloe Rhine of Holly Springs, NC, Angel Moses of Lima, OH, and Jaylin Rhine of Allentown, PA; sister, Jessica Rhine of Palm Bay, FL; and his fiancée, Erin Goodwin of Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy "Tim" Rhine, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Charles "Leonard" and Neva (Dicus) Winegardner; his paternal grandparents, Edward "Ed" Rhine, Sr. and Glistine "Tine" (Nichols) Rhine; his step-grandparents, Donald "Don" Neff and Jeanne (Kennedy) Neff; as well as his aunts, Charla Lynn (Winegardner) Daniel and Risa Renee (Winegardner) Smith; and his uncle, Craig Leonard Winegardner.
