ELIDA -- Virginia Burch, 81, of Elida, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Vancrest of Delphos. She was born August 18, 1944, in Logan County, to Roy and Margaret (Knief) Pulfer. They both preceded her in death.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Andy) Sherrick of Elida and Julie (Wayne) Cox of Richmond, IN; five grandchildren, Crystal (Mike) Clark, Matthew Metcalfe, Jessica (Heather Hough) Sherrick, Weston (Jaycie) Cox, and William Cox; 10 great-grandchildren, Lexi Metcalfe, Brennen Clark, Kyle, Silas, Maya, Gia, and Knox Hough, Wren, Josie, and baby Wesley Cox who is about to make his grand entrance into the world; sisters, Mary Jane (Joe) Purtee of Sydney, Kay Kessler of Lakeview, and Brenda (Chuck) Stevens of DeGraff.
Virginia was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Pulfer, and brother-in-law, Don Kessler. Virginia graduated high school in Jackson Center. She was a factory worker for I & K Distributers. Virginia enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, reading, and playing bingo. She loved Elvis Presley. Virginia especially loved her kids and grandkids and going on vacations with them.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Reverend Rex Roth will be officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
