VIRGINIA LOY
FINDLAY — Virginia R. Loy, 90, of Findlay, died at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living, Findlay.
She was born on August 3, 1926 in Findlay to the late Charles and Dorothy (Baldwin) Leiter. She married Lester Jerry Loy on September 6, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1979.
Virginia is survived by her daughters: Sharon (Robert) Essinger of Findlay, Susan (Bruce) Decker of Upper Sandusky and Sandra Laney of Findlay; her sons: John (Kathy) Loy of Jenera and Joe (Toni) Loy of Jenera; her brother, David Leiter of Belle Center, OH; her grandchildren: Tenna (Mike) Rhonemus, Malinda (Mark) Bucher and Christa (Pascal) Moret, Franklin (Wendy) Laney, Nichole (Robert) Ramirez, Sarah (Brady) Sterling, Kimberly (Brent) Russler, Amber Selhorst, Jerry (Alicia) Loy, Emily (Steven) Clark, Megan (Jason) Smith and Abbie (Kurtis Reichley) Loy; 27 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; a grandson-in-law, Jim Clifford of Upper Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by granddaughters: April Jones and Tammy Clifford.
Virginia formerly owned and operated Leiter's Market in Jenera. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Findlay, Order of the Eastern Star Rawson Chapter 550 as well as the Lady Shrine Club.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Jenera.
Visitation will be held 3 hours (10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Burn Institute and Crippled Children's Hospital, Cincinnati and/or April Sue Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund.
