LIMA -- William "Bill" J. Goedde, 70, passed away at 9:37 a.m. on October 25, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on January 30, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to Bernard "Ben" Goedde and Mary (Stein) Rumpf, who both preceded him in death.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after two years of service. He enjoyed watching Ohio State football every Saturday in the fall with his daughter. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson, finding peace and freedom as he cruised the country roads.
He is survived by his children, Jessica Goedde of Lima, OH, and Jill Goedde of Lima, OH; granddaughter, Makaela Goedde of Lima, OH; former spouse and longtime friend, Kathy Goedde of Lima, OH; stepmother, Connie Goedde of Van Wert, OH; and four siblings.
He was preceded in death by one sister and his paternal grandparents, Amos and Francis "Fran" Goedde.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Chiles - Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
