Roy Duenke

1961 - 2019

Roy Duenke passed away on January 19, 2019 at the age of 57. He was born November 9, 1961 in Troy, MO. He was the beloved husband of Vicki Duenke nee Hagenhoff of Jonesburg, Missouri. He is survived by his two brothers, Brian (Kelly) Duenke of Marthasville, Mike (Vicki Jo) Duenke of Laddonia; three sisters, Betty (Rick) Hakenewerth of Wentzville, Janet (Steve) Poindexter of Wellsville, Dawn (Burt) Miller of Montgomery City; step-mother, Mary Ann Duenke of Laddonia; father-in-law, Clem Hagenhoff, Wentzville, brother-in-law, Steve (Bev) Hagenhoff, Foristell; sister-in-laws, Rhonda (Jeff) Richterkessing, Foristell, and Carla (Mark) Northcutt, Laddonia; nephews and nieces, Jesse, Eric, Chris, Shelly, Melissa, Jeffrey, Maddi, Dustin, Travis, Morgan, Justin, Ella, Bailey, Andrew, Lauren, Jacob, Olivia, Mitch, Jenna, Elizabeth and Sam; many great-nephews and great-nieces; He is preceded in death by his father, Harold S. Duenke, mother, Eleanor E. Duenke nee Ohmes, brother, Bill Duenke. Roy and Vicki spent 29 wonderful years together. They were married September 9, 1989. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jonesburg. He was also a member of the Meat Cutter Union 655 and K of C Council 1270. Roy's biggest joy was spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, friend and family member. He was a treasured brother, uncle and friend. Roy worked for the family business, Wright City Meat Company, and later for Schnucks. He was fun loving and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed working on the farm, playing and watching sports, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville, Missouri.
Funeral was held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Jonesburg, Missouri.
Cemetery: Laddonia Cemetery, Laddonia, Missouri.
