Kathryn Grimm Obituary
LINCOLN, IL - Kathryn M. Grimm, 94, of Lincoln, passed away July 21, 2016, at The Christian Village.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home with Ryan Edgecombe officiating.
Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.
Kathryn was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Danvers, Ill., the daughter of Jefferson Springer Sr. and Margaret (Huffman). She married Ralph I. Grimm on Dec. 6, 1941. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2005.
Mrs. Grimm was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln. She was an avid Illini fan. She enjoyed baking, reading magazines, playing cards, and family get togethers.
She was a loyal participant in the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes and just knew she was going to win every year.
Surviving are her sons, Marvin Grimm of Oveida, Fla., and Jerry (Sue) Grimm of Springfield, Ill.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Schmidgall of Morton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers; and one sister.
Memorial donations may be made to: The Christian Village Activity Fund, or First United Methodist Church in Lincoln.
