I worked with Matt for a month in Lincoln and in such a short time he had a huge impact on me. He made me feel welcome in an unfamiliar place. He was always such a fun, caring, sweet guy. Could always put a smile on my face. My heart goes out to Mindy and his family during this difficult time.

I was so sad when I heard about this. Matt was my manager and a father figure for me and a few friends of mine. Yea, we were only a couple of teenage girls at the time, but we really looked up to him. Now he is looking down on us. Father Steak 'n Shake, gone but never forgotten. I will always hold a special place in my heart for this man.

I worked with Matt when he was at the Pekin Steak n Shake for a bit. He was such a great guy, and everybody loved working with him. If something needed done and you were busy, he wasn't afraid to jump right in and help. Definitely a great man, and a great loss. Gone way too soon. R.I.P Matt

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Matt and Mindy for years because we went to high school together and then later worked together. He could always brighten someone's day. He will be greatly missed.

I will always remember Matt as a truly sweet and friendly kid and a pleasure to know. He was always welcome in our home and was always polite. My sympathies to his family and I will never forget what a friend he was to my son. I had not seen Matt in many years but I hear that his life was happy and he enjoyed what he was doing. May his family be comforted in knowing that he is remembered fondly by my family. Trudy Close Naylor
