MT. PULASKI, IL - Nellie J. Deppe, 93, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2015, at Bickford Senior Living Center in Springfield, Ill.
Nellie was born July 31, 1922, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the daughter of Howard and Naomi Edgeworth Johnson. She was united in marriage to William "Bernard" Deppe on Dec. 2, 1944, in Mississippi City, Miss. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2013.
Surviving Nellie are her three childrenL Sylvia Buker of Mobile, Ala., James K. (Carolyn) Deppe of Virginia, Ill., and Clint (Diane) Deppe of Mt. Pulaski, Ill.; her nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandsons, her son-in-law, Danny, and six siblings.
Nellie enjoyed playing golf, traveling, shopping, playing softball, bowling, and rooting for her Cardinals. She loved to sell antiques and was a riveter on airplanes in Gulfport, Miss., during WWII.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Ashland City Cemetery in Ashland, Ill.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
Memorial donations may be made in Nellie's name to: Mt. Pulaski American Legion Post #477.

So sorry to hear your Mom has passed away. I have many fond memories of visiting your farm home when we were growing up in the Ashland area. May God grant you peace and comfort during this difficult time in your family's life. Hoping to see you at our 55 class reunion in May.
