Ada Noble Obituary
Ada Eugenia Harper Noble was born on February 21, 1929, to Ernest and Eula Clay Harper in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the second of two girls born to this union. She and her parents were members of the Ariel Barnes Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, where she was baptized at an early age.
Ada and Solomon Noble were married at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church in August 1990 and have been happily united ever since. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend to all those she met.
Beyond serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Ada and her four oldest children, along with her dad, moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, in December 1950. She worked several jobs as a nurse's aide at the old St. Mary Hospital on Linn Street in the West End, at the Glass Nursing Home in Avondale, and at the Marjorie P. Lee Nursing Home in Hyde Park, from where she retired.
Ada united with Beulah Baptist Church (Rev. David Glenn) around 1962. Later, she joined Zion Hope Baptist Church (Rev. Bennie Strayhorn). She became a member of Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Temple in 1990 under the leadership of Bishop Paul A. Bowers and the current leader, Bishop LaVelton Daniels, where she worshiped and served faithfully and diligently.
She was a member of the Marvelous Mothers Auxiliary and the Senior Choir. Oh, how she loved to sing God's praises! She took part in bake sales, yard sales, and visiting the sick and shut-ins-wherever and however she could be useful.
She was preceded in death by four children: Vickie Bea (Tony), Larry Harper (Jackie), Jack Edwards (Velma), and Charles Harper (Jean). She leaves to cherish her memory: Solomon Noble (husband); daughters: Gail Lewis, Joann Williams, Carol Hamilton, Denise Williams, Marlene Brown, Zolita Todd (Michael), and Adrian Martin; sons: Scott Williams, Marvin Williams (Diane); and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Ada's warmth, wisdom, and nurturing spirit will be truly missed but always remembered by those whose lives she touched.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Greater Emanuel Apostolic Temple, 1150 W Galbraith Rd., Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum.
