Ann Woolfolk Obituary
Ann Esther Woolfolk was born on September 19, 1934, in Midway Alabama, and entered eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio at the divine age of ninety. Sis. Ann, as many of us have come to know her as, was the only child of John Longmire and Fannie Cox. She moved to Cincinnati with her family as a young child. She attended Woodward High School where she met Abraham Woolfolk Sr., and the two became one in holy matrimony soon afterwards. This union was blessed with three sons, Derrick Anthony (Tony), Abraham Jr and Avery Woolfolk.
Sis. Ann's confession of faith in Jesus Christ occurred during her teenage years. This would lead to a life of unparalleled growth and service to Christ and to those he died for. She was a member and taught at Calvary United Methodist Church and later joined Bibleway Church of God where she received numerous awards for her ability to teach and expound on the Word of God. She loved to teach on "creation", where it all began. Sis. Ann was one of the cornerstones for Faith Christian Center, now known as The Oasis. She later joined Living Hope Bible Fellowship where she served as a pivotal leader, a rock, and a powerful teacher for over twenty years. She will be dearly missed.
Her role as a social worker at the HUB, now known as the OTR Recreation Center, encapsulates a life of caring for others and sharing the knowledge and wisdom that can only come from God. Because of her devout beliefs in the teaching of Jesus, Sis. Ann would dedicate her life to feeding multitudes both spiritually and physically. She is known to be an awesome cook. She could create a masterpiece of a meal from scratch or add an Ann Woolfolk twist to any recipe, and it would be amazing! The feeding of both the body and the spirit will be a portion of the eternal legacy of Ann E. Woolfolk. Regarding how we live our lives, Sis. Ann would always say "you preach your own funeral".
Sis. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Abraham Woolfolk. She leaves to cherish her memory; three amazing sons, Tony Woolfolk, Abe Woolfolk Jr., and Avery Woolfolk; a wonderful daughter-in-love, Alberta Renee Woolfolk; a loving grandson, Christian Alexander Ray Woolfolk; an adorable great-grandson, Alexander Gianni Ray Woolfolk; a dear sister-in-law, Gladys Woolfolk, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, Godsons, Spiritual sons and daughters and friends.
