Annette Simpson began her life journey on April 5, 1940, to Joseph & Josephine Miller in Sadieville, KY. There she attended the Great Crossing School of Scott County.
Outside of school, she spent most of her youth serving Christ at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, which she became a member through baptism.
By age 13, Annette's family left their small town of Sadieville to relocate to
Covington, KY where she settled in with her younger siblings, Delores Mary Jo James, Judy Ann and Michael Miller. She attended William Grant & Lincoln Grant schools. She became a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church where she continued to serve for over 40 years as an usher.
It is in Covington, Annette married and later divorced Robert Lee Simpson Sr. From these offsprings would come 15 grandkids, 28 great grandkids, and 7 great great grandkids.
Annette was a hardworking woman who took pride in taking care of her family. She raised two generations by often working two jobs throughout the years. One being her place of employment at Northern Kentucky University where she was honored for her hard work before retiring.
In addition to her sister Judy, 4 children and all her grandchildren and so on, she also leaves behind her to mourn, her uncle Robert Ingguls, 2 nieces, Paula Miller & Bonita Simpson, a daughter-in-law Loucille Jones, and son-in-law Harry Brown, as well as a host of other family & friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at the Ninth Street Baptist Church of Covington, 231 East Ninth, Covington (41011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Interment will follow at Mary E. Smith Memorial Cemetery.
