Mark Frans Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Frans, age 63, of Erlanger, Kentucky, on March 26, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Mark was a devoted husband, loving father, and a dedicated provider for his family. Mark proudly served his country for 11 years as a member of the United States Air Force, where his commitment to service was a testament to his character. After his military service, Mark went on to have a distinguished 21-year career as an Avionics Technician for Comair. For the last 11 years, he has worked as a technician in space electronics for L3Harris in Mason, Ohio. His work ethic and dedication were unmatched, and he was highly respected in his field. Mark was an avid listener of talk radio and took great pride in staying informed about politics. He read and studied the Bible daily, finding comfort and guidance in its teachings. As the son of an English mother, he developed a love of a good cup of tea. This simple pleasure brought him peace throughout his life, especially in his final days. Mark's love for his family was evident to all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Margaret Frans, his wife, Karen Frans; sons Stephen Frans, Jonathan Frans and Garrett Frans; sisters-in-law, Deborah (Allen) Hamilton and Shonda (Wayne) McMillian; nephews, Brett Hamilton and Colin Denehy; and niece, Madie McMillian. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his unwavering faith. A visitation for Mark will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, Kentucky from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10:00am at the Glencoe Cemetery in Gallatin County. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mark's honor to Calvary Baptist Church (3711 Tibbatts Street, Covington, KY 41015) or to Thru the Bible Radio at https://store.ttb.org/give Rest in peace, Mark. So sorry to hear this about Mark. Worked by his side many years at Comair. He always had a story. I would be near Mark doing special projects for flight ops. Rest well, Mark, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked briefly with Mark at Cincinnati Electronics. He was a great teacher and a nice guy. He will be greatly missed.
