Robert Hayes Jenkins

Robert Hayes Jenkins, born on August 13, 1937, in Covington, KY, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Edgewood, KY, at the age of 87. He is predeceased by his brother, Charles Jenkins. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Jenkins; his daughter, Terri Ballard (Greg); his sons, Scott Jenkins (Jennifer) and Ron Jenkins; his brother, James Jenkins (Judy); and his sister-in-law, Brenda Jenkins. He also leaves behind a cherished group of grandchildren: Rob Idol (Megan), Ryan Idol (Laura), Kristen Idol, David Ballard (Amelia), and Rachel Pape (Brian), Tyler Jenkins (Heather) and eight great grandchildren. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Robert was actively involved in his community as a member of the Masons and played a significant role in starting the soccer league in Northern Kentucky. His passion for sports was evident in his love for soccer and football, and he was an avid runner in his earlier years. Known for his tinkering spirit, Robert enjoyed working with his hands and finding creative solutions to everyday challenges. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Both will take place at Linneman Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41017. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
