LINDA KAY FALCONER Linda Kay Falconer, age 61, of Brookfield, passed peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia with her family by her side, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with ovarian cancer. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Mark Mundell officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield. Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to North Central Missouri YMCA or S.E.V. may be left at or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628. Linda Kay, daughter of Jerald E. and Helen Janell (Turner) Mundell, was born July 18, 1963, in Brookfield. On October 11, 1986, she married Jerry Falconer. Linda graduated from Brookfield R-3 High School in 1981 and began her career at First Missouri Bank, now known as Verimore Bank, in Brookfield. Linda had been with the bank for 43 years and greatly enjoyed working with many friends and customers. Linda cherished the moments spent with her family and friends, especially time spent with her grandkids. Each summer, she enjoyed spending time with her family at Bennett Springs. Linda also found joy in her hobbies, particularly cross-stitch, embroidery, and watching Hallmark movies. Linda was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Brookfield where she served as treasurer. She also served as board treasurer of the North Central Missouri YMCA and was a 4-H leader for many years. Survivors include her husband Jerry Falconer of the home; one son, Ryan Falconer and wife, Janae of Jetmore, Kansas and their children, Ty, Hadlee and Clay; one daughter, Katie Falconer of Graham, MO; one brother, Mark Mundell and wife, Lisa of Smithville; mother-in-law, Rojean Falconer of Brookfield; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Jr. Falconer.
