Doris Zehrung Obituary
Born April 14, 1909, in Waltham, MA she was the daughter of the late William Ferguson and Olive Bartlett Ferguson and the widow of the late Dr. William Zehrung. A retired Registered Nurse, her last position was a nurse anesthetist with the New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT.
An avid supporter of the Clan Ferguson Society of North America, she and her late husband Bill traveled to Scotland many times.
Survivors include William A. Crowley of Lake Lure, NC and Michael J. Crowley of Eastchester, NY, and Marion Crowley Delellis of South Pasadena, CA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Richard B. Ferguson of Houston, TX and a sister Jean Bessel of Worcester, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, December 4th at Sacred Heart Church in Kent, CT. Burial will follow at Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville, CT.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, December 3rd at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT.
Memorials may be made to New Milford Hospital, 21 Elm Street, New Milford, CT 06776 or the charity of your choice.
