KALLSTROM, LINDA HELEN STREIBLinda Helen Streib Kallstrom, 78, of Kent, CT, passed away Friday, January 20th, 2017, peacefully in her sleep in New Milford, CT, at the age of 78. She was born February 26th, 1938, in Flushing, NY, daughter of the late Henry G. and Helen M. (Skoog) Streib. Linda graduated from Flushing High School, College Point, NY, in 1955. On July 6th, 1957, she was united in marriage to Steven Lee Kallstrom. She is survived by her spouse, Steven Lee Kallstrom, Sr. and five children; Steven L. Kallstrom, Jr., of Bridgewater, CT, Brent H. Kallstrom, of Kent, CT, Lauri H. Kallstrom-Benderer, of Wingdale, NY and the twins, Linda S.K. Jorgenson, of Mount Vernon,NY, and Gunnar E. Kallstrom, of North Branford, CT, eight beloved grandchildren: Danielle Lee Thompson, Garrett M. Thompson, Ashley S. J. Lourie, Amanda M. J. Moore, James G. Jorgenson, Brook Anne Kallstrom, Brynn Lee Kallstrom, Britta Lynn Kallstrom, and five adoring great-grandchildren: Zachary S. Thompson, Adrian J. L. Thompson, Reagan S. Lourie, Jackson G. Lourie, and Tekoa W. Lourie. She is also survived by her brother George H. Streib and sister-in-law Joan M. Streib, of Washington, CT. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Ann Streib, of Torrington, CT. Linda had an unwavering faith in God. She was a devoted member of St. John's Episcopal Church in New Milford, Connecticut. She was a pillar of her church community. She was a member of the church choir, the Vestry, Stephen Ministries, and was dedicated to the construction of the Memorial Garden. Linda worked at the New Milford Children's Center for 30 years. Her devotion to children was her life-long passion and commitment.A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on March 11th, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at St. John's Episcopal Church, New Milford, Connecticut. Interment will follow in St. John's Memorial Garden at St. John's Church.
