Cynthia Merrifield Obituary
Florida & Michigan - passed away Monday, December 2, 2019. Cindy enjoyed time in both Florida and Michigan. Cindy was born June 17, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Eugene Simpson and Eleanor Phoebe Hamilton. She married John Harvey Merrifield of Hardin, Missouri on December 11, 1959. Following their time in Missouri, they moved to Plymouth in 1972. Survivors include: her husband, John Merrifield, two daughters, Phoebe (Craig) Schoenherr, Jacqueline (Dan) Young, two grandsons, Derek Simpson Young and Ryan Merrifield Young, her brother Paul (Vickie) Hamilton, of Kansas City, Missouri. Cindy dedicated her time to serving many charitable organizations, including the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, The Salvation Army and the Hope Clinic of Ypsilanti. Cindy's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church Street, with visitation at 10:00 and the celebration at 11:00. Memorial contributions to Hope Clinic of Ypsilanti and the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth are appreciated. To share a memory, please visit vermeulenfh.com

I'm so very saddened by this news. Cindy was such a kind and wonderful person. It was always a good day when she was in the building at The Salvation Army. My deepest sympathies to her family. She loved all of you so very, very much

I just learned of Cindy's passing. Cindy made such an impact in the Plymouth community and certainly to me. I am forever grateful for her kindness and compassion to all who came through the doors at The Salvation Army. I am truly saddened by this news. My deepest sympathy to her family - oh how she loved each of you
