Michael of Howell, age 89, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017. He was born August 21, 1927 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, son of Michael and Veronica (Rudnicki) Skrzypiec. Beloved husband of Joan (O'Rourke) Skrypec whom she married May 16, 1953 in Detroit, dear father of Michael (Cindy) Skrypec of Alpena, Daniel of Illinois and Peg (Steve) Toms of Fowlerville. Grandfather of Abby, Joel, Steven, Kelly, Erin, Nicki and great-grandfather of Harper, Hudson, Ava, Molly and Rylee. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired Detroit Fire Fighter. In his retirement years, he enjoyed selling real estate for Howell Town and Country. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. with funeral services Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800). Burial in Howell Memorial Cemetery. We were so saddened to of the passing of my Brother Firefighter's father. He must of been great guy to have raised a fine son and great Firefighter like Mike.
