Nicholas Torrance Obituary
Nicholas Robert 12/20/94 - 8/15/17. passed peacefully in his sleep on 8/15/2017 from complications of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Nick was an avid sports fan and an honorary member of the Putnam Township Fire Department #5 earning the title of Chief 5 and a half. He supported the firefighters efforts for many years ensuring the trucks were always clean. The Pinckney High School embraced him as their own and gave him the best memories as team managers of the football and girls basketball teams for most of his high school years - now retiring his #82 jersey. We invite you to celebrate a life well lived on Wednesday August 23rd at noon, Shalom Lutheran Church in Pinckney, service being lead by his very special high school teacher, Lisa Gross, along with his best friend John Kroll. Drop off a dish to pass if you can - lunch to follow the service. Wear sports attire please, because he always did. Nick leaves behind his parents Rob and Jean of Pinckney, Grandparents Don and Virginia of Ann Arbor, Marjorie Torrance of Dyersville, IA. Aunts Judy, Jennifer and Mollie. Uncles Rich, Pat and Greg, a wide variety of cousins along with his very important very special teen club friends. Contributions in his honor may be made to Anchors Programs for Children Arbor Hospice 2366 Oak Valley Drive Ann Arbor, MI 48103
