Patricia Heinanen Obituary
Plymouth - Patricia Marie (Smith) Heinanen, of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the age of 74.
Patti was the eldest daughter of Owen and Gertrude Smith. Born in Detroit on Nov. 7, 1943, Patti grew up in Dearborn Heights and graduated from Lowery High School in 1962. She was a hairstylist for more than 30 years before working at Kohl's department store, from where she retired in 2016.
Patti was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved to play Keno and slots. She was fun-loving and vivacious with a sassy sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes.
Patti will be missed by her children, Mike Giles (Caren) of Gibraltar, and daughter, Kelly Giles Misko (Sean) of Fenton; her grandchildren, Nicolaus Misko and Michael Giles; her sisters Shelagh Aretakis, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Maureen Smith, of Westland; her brother-in-law Richie Burke, of Westland; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Kathleen Burke.
A private memorial service for Patti will be planned.

May you rest in peace Pat. We've known each other for over 50 years. I'm so glad we had a chance to talk briefly about a week before this terrible calling occurred. I will truly miss you very much.
