Richard Opper Obituary

Opper

Richard Charles Graduate of Fowlerville H.S. 1967.

Passed away after a five month struggle with leukemia on August 2, 2017 in Orlando, FL.

He was the son of the late Austin and Loretta (Reed) Opper.

Proceeded in death by brother Robert and sister Diane.

Survived by his beloved wife of over 46 years, Terry (Brack) Opper,  daughter Deana of Coldwater, MI, son Phillip and his wife Jennifer Opper of Orlando, FL., 2 sisters Sally Miller of Lansing, MI, Mary Ellen Finch of Fort Myers, FL, one brother Jim of Williamston.

Grandchildren  Austin Opper,  Leland VanWinkle, Christopher VanWinkle and Treanna  Gormley.

Great grandson Dominic and great granddaughter Marlee along with many nieces and nephews.

Foster children and all the kids who always called him dad as he and his wife took in many and were foster parents in the state of Florida.

He owned a painting business for over 30 years in Florida and loved playing Santa Clause at Christmas.

His two great friends Jon Miller of Fowlerville and Dick Britten of Howell brought him joy through the years with their friendship and support which he treasured and spoke of often.

On August 27, 2017 there will be a Celebration of Life at the Fowlerville Community Park, 425 North Grand Ave., Fowlerville, MI 48836  at 2 PM.
