In Loving Memory
Of
Audrey Lee Pool
Longtime Kettle Falls area resident, Audrey Lee Pool, age 86 years old, entered into rest on June 28, 2025 at her residence at Buena Vista Care Center in Colville. Audrey was born December 23, 1938 in Livingston, Montana to Floyd and Frances (Fifield) Woodhull.
Audrey would graduate with the Class of 1958 from Park Senior High School in Livingston. Soon after, she met Henry R. Pool. He was an electrician for the railroad. Henry had moved to Montana from Minnesota. The couple would marry in 1959. They welcomed sons, Jack and Miles into their family. The family would reside in Livingston until 1988 when Henry retired. He and Audrey moved to the Kettle Falls area. To keep busy and active, Audrey and Henry would build a home and then sell it and build another. They did so three times from 1988 until Henry's passing in December 2020.
Jack and Miles both joined the US Army prior to their father's retirement. Jack was discharged in 1989 and followed his parents to Washington and made it his home. Miles would eventually marry and moved to Reno, NV. He and his wife Jody, welcomed a son, Mason, into their family.
Audrey loved her horses. She had grown up with them in Montana. She would raise and care for more in her adult life as well. One might say they were her second love next to Henry and the boys. In her later years, Audrey would shift her energies to her flower gardens. Her favorite flower was lilacs. When indoors, Audrey loved to put together a good jigsaw puzzle. Retirement suited her. She enjoyed the quiet and the solitude and just spending time with Henry. Audrey was independent and strong. She was capable of taking care of herself and those she loved.
The holiday season - especially Christmas - was her favorite time of the year. Audrey was known for decorating for the season. She went to great lengths to make sure everything was perfect. It so happened that her birthday was a couple of days prior to Christmas which made the season all the more special.
Being the good mother that she was, Audrey taught her boys to cook. As high schoolers they began preparing the evening meals for the family so that Audrey would have to when she got home from working.
Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents, Floyd and Frances Woodhull; sister Roberta Woodhull Snavley and brother Jim Woodhull.
Audrey is survived by her sons, Jack and Miles (Jody) Pool, and grandson Mason Pool.
