Vicki Ayres Obituary

Vicki J. Ayres, 76, of Livingston, Montana, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 19, 1949, in Boise, Idaho, to Glenn and Stella Fakler and Joy Willis Ayres.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Allen Ayres, and many beloved animal companions who brought her joy throughout her life.

Vicki spent nearly her entire life in Livingston, where she became a well-loved member of the community. She dedicated 50 years of service to First National Park Bank, now First Interstate Bank, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and customers with her hard work, kindness, and steady presence. She was also an active member of the Livingston Roundup Association, where she formed many cherished friendships.

Outside of work, Vicki was happiest surrounded by friends with a cold beer in hand. She loved hunting, camping, bowling, and sharing stories (and plenty of laughs) at the local bar. Her down-to-earth nature, sharp wit, and unwavering loyalty made her a true friend and family to those closest to her. At home, she could often be found enjoying a John Wayne movie or a good crime drama with her faithful dogs by her side.

She is survived by her dearest friends Davina Barghultz, Peggy Glass, Kittie Donahue, and many others who were like family to her. She was especially grateful to her neighbors, Scott and Nicole Mains and Liz Porter, for their care and kindness, as well as to the staff of Livingston Memorial Hospital, the Cancer Treatment Center, and all those who supported her throughout her illness.

Vicki's strength, humor, and grit carried her through life and through years of illness. She is now at peace and will be remembered for her spirit, laughter, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Vicki's life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Livingston, where friends and loved ones will gather to share memories and raise a glass in her honor.

Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home. To offer condolences visit www.franzen-davis.com.
