Abraham Pena Obituary

Early Sunday morning on March 9, 2025 our beloved Abraham Frederick Pena left us to be with the Lord.
Fred was born in Laredo, Texas May 7, 1947. He graduated from Martin High School
class of 1965. He also graduated from Southwest Texas State University class of of 1971.
He stayed in San Marcos a short time to work as a counselor at Camp Gary Job Corp Center.
He subsequently moved to San Antonio and worked at K-Mart for a number of years. He than
began his civil service career at Kelly Air Force Base as an aircraft body maintenance technician. He later transferred to the great Plains Regional office as a program coordinator and later to Brook Army Medical Center. His two careers were served with distinction and he completed a successful Civil Service career.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Armando and Micaela Pena, and sister Velma Neel.
His family members will have a celebration of Fred's life in a private service. Fred will be missed by all his close friends, extended family and especially his close friend Diana Rachel Becerril, a forever friend of fifty-five years.

Sending heartfelt condolences to family and friends. I knew Freddy since first grade at Heights Elementary in Laredo. He was always such a true and kind soul. I take great comfort in having had the opportunity to visit with him at our last class reunion in 2015. He was still the Freddy I always knew, such a great friend. May he rest peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
