Entered Eternal Rest on July 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at University Hospital in San Antonio.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rolando Aaron Moreno, Jr., who was born on August 4, 1998, in Laredo, Texas. He was a proud graduate of Lyndon B. Johnson High School, Class of 2016, where he completed the Distinguished Academic Program. Shortly after graduating, he answered the call to serve his country and proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served four honorable years. His guiding motto was "service before self."
He is preceded in death by his father, Rolando Moreno; maternal grandparents, Raul and Rosa Garcia; uncles Raul Garcia Jr. and Javier Mancha; and paternal grandfather Guadalupe Moreno Sr.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Cynthia Garcia; devoted father, Claudio M. (Pavis) Martinez; and caring sister, Carla Moreno.
Also surviving him are numerous close relatives, loyal friends, and his brothers and sisters in arms.
A final memorial gesture will be held at 1 p.m. at his home address on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025 and a Prayer Service officiated by Pastor Juan Pablo Perez will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025. A Religious Service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Iglesia Cristiana Misericordia located at 4519 E. Del Mar. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery with Presentation of the United States Flag and Full Military Honors Provided by the Laredo Veteran's Honor Guard and the United State Marine Corp. Honor Guard.
