Arlene Jungeblut

1930 - 2022

Arlene Jean (Porta) Jungeblut passed peacefully July 16th at at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Duane Jungeblut . Arlene was born on January 25, 1930, in Oxnard, California. She attended Lodi Schools and graduated from Lodi High School.
Arlene met her husband while she was working as a waitress, at Richmond Restaurant in Lodi. He made quite the impression by giving her a 25-cent tip! They married August 8, 1948 and lived on Kettleman Lane their entire life.
Arlene was a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. She did work for LUSD in the food service department for a few years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She also helped with farming of their grapes and almonds. Arlene enjoyed running their fruit stand and visiting with her loyal customers for many years. Customers called her the "Peach Lady." Arlene was very generous. If you came to visit, she always made sure you left with some produce. She also sewed toys for the hospital auxiliary.
Farming kept them busy, but they would find time to go on family vacations such as digging for clams at Pismo Beach and fishing at Lake Camanche. Arlene and Duane splurged and went on one cruise and took the family to Hawaii for Christmas.
Arlene is survived by her daughter Sandra Hale (Pat), sons Duane Jungeblut Jr., Brian Jungeblut (Debbie), Grandsons Chris Hale, Brian Jungeblut Jr., Brandon Jungeblut, and great-grandson Elijah Jungeblut.
A grave site service will be held July 27, at 10:00am at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at their home on Kettleman Lane. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made, in her name, to your favorite charity.
