Bryce Alvin "Nice Bryce" Quarnstrom

1933 - 2014

Bryce Alvin Quarnstrom, "Nice Bryce" of Lodi passed away on March 7, 2014 at the age of 81.
He was born on March 21, 1933 in Burley, ID to parents Alvin and Ruth Quarnstrom. Bryce grew up and attended high school in Idaho. After high school, he married the love of his life (Priscilla) and became a father to two sons Randall and Craig Quarnstrom of Lodi.  In 1957, Bryce moved the family from Idaho to Lodi, where he worked as a manager at various service stations. He worked for a short time at the C.Y.A. in San Andreas, and also for the Stockton N.C.Y.C. He worked at the N.C.Y.C. for 23 yrs before retiring in 1989. After he retired, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and traveling. He was the oldest of four siblings, and was preceded in death by his parents, and his youngest sister Coleen Phillips. He is survived by his wife of over 61 yrs Priscilla Quarnstrom, his two sons, sister Jeneal Adams of Albion, ID, and brother Blaine Quarnstrom of UT. Bryce was always fun to be around. He was outgoing, good at telling jokes, and always tried to make people smile. He was known as the "Local Handyman" and always enjoyed fixing things for people.
A Celebration of Life honoring Bryce will be held on Saturday March 15, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints on 731 N. Ham Ln. at 1 pm.
