Curtis Allen Obituary
Curtis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Affectionatley know to his grandchildren as "Papa". There was nothing more importatant to him than his family, they were his life. Curtis always worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He worked as structural steel building inspector in the bay area and in Stockton, Ca. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, fishing and buying lotto tickets. One of his favorite things to do was take a spontaneous weekend away with his wife in Reno.
Curtis was one of eight children. Preceded in death by brothers Walter and Delmar. Survived by sisters Janetta & Loreen and brothers Leslie, Billy and Paul. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
For the last 15 years Curtis and his wife have attended Harvest Bible Church in Stockton, Ca. He loved singing praise and worship and listening to his pastor speak.
There wasn't many people who wouldn't call Curtis a friend. He was one of the good ole boys he was always kind and funny. Curtis never lacked for a good story to tell and would give you his last penny if you needed it. Curtis was the kind of father and man that will never be forgotten and always be remembered with love.
Memorial Service to be held at Harvest Bible Church, Stockton, Ca Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 9am.

Dad I can´t believe it´s been 11 years since you went home too be with our Lord, so much has changed but you know all that because you watch over me and the girls everyday. I love you and I hope your proud of me I made a few mistakes along the way but I´m good now with a good man who loves me and protects me just like you would have done. But like I said you know all that! I love you daddy and my heart hurts for you everyday!!

Hey dad its michelle. I just wanted to let you know how very much you are missed. I keep hoping that I can wake up from this nightmare that I'm in, because since you have been gone that is how things feel sometimes. I just wish so much things can be normal again but the fact is they won't. Ashlee and Ayvah still ask when you will come.see them its so hard to tell them that your not coming back, I honestly don't know how fathers day will ever be the same again. Well I know you are in a much better place and I wouldn't ask you to come back for anything, I just love and miss you so much, until we see each other again dad I love you and will always miss you everyday. Dad...I miss you so much. Things have gotten so different since you have been gone. Fathers Day is coming soon and I am dreading it because I won't see you, everyday I miss you and wish I could call you or stop by and say hi. This girls miss you so much too and look at pictures of you all the time. I love you Dad and I am so proud to be your daughter.

Dad I know that you are having the best celebration that you have ever had today for your birthday. I wish so bad that we were coming over today for dinner and birthday cake, but I know you are not suffering any more and that you are with our heavenly father walking the streets of gold. And to know that we will see each other again makes me smile. My life will never be the same without you here, and everyday seems to be so hard. You were always the one that I could call for anything and I miss just sitting with You and talking. This is the first year in as long as I can remember not calling you and saying Happy Birthday and giving you a card full of lottery tickets...I wish so bad I could talk to you again, I miss you so much dad. The girls really miss spending time with you on the patio, sitting and talking, playing with the dogs...you were such a good Papa, the best. They have so many memories with you. Nothing is the same now, and it is just so sad. I miss you so much, words really can't describe. You were such a good dad to me and grandpa to my kids, we love you so much and miss you. I wish I could pull in to the driveway and see you sitting outside again...miss you so much Dad.

Pops I miss you so much, not 1 day has gone by that I haven't sat back and thought about all the good times we've had. We all love you so much. Jj, Ashlee & Ayvah miss poppa horribly. Pops I'm staying strong for Michelle she is heart broken and everyday is an emotional struggle but in Jesus name he is with you and us and getting us through this... We love you pops. We will see you again someday!!!!

Dad, I love you and miss you so much. Ashlee asks everyday when can the Dr. Fix you and I tell her you are healed and singing in heaven,but she wants you here. We all do but it's for our own selfish reasons. Some days are so hard without you,but I know we will see you again. Kiss daija for us and I know you are loving on her everyday for us. I am missing you terribly today, I am now able to read these comments from our friends and family, its so very hard, there were so many fantastic memories, we really had a memorable and fun life, I am so sorry it was cut so short, we had so much more living to do. I know you want me to live life and I do try, everything is so different now, your presence is still so much around me, it comforts me and it saddens me at the same time, you are so loved and so missed and I need you so much to take me in your arms and tell me its gonna be alright you will take care of it for me, but tht will never happen again, but I will be alright, because in the 35 years we did it all by ourselves and I am strong because of that. Dad...I really don't know where to begin, my heart breaks everytime I think of you. You were the best dad and example to me. My kids will miss you and always remember the many wonderful times they shared with you. There was never anything you wouldn't do for my girls. You will always be the best Papa, nothing can compare to how you loved us all. I wish we could have had you here longer with us but I know you are happy and healthy dancing around on those golden streets in heaven. I love you forever! I miss you so much dad.

I've started this message a number of times ... What else can I say about you my Uncle Curtis ... I know you always loved me, and you always loved my babies and would do anything for us... My kids will never forget you showing them the scrumptious treat of frosted flakes, milk, and nestle quick choco powder! They thought you were genius! Auntie Lu and Michelle and Beth... My dad was the greatest man ever, i love him everyday and will keep his legacy living thru me! ? My kids will always know how great of a papa they had. I will miss him everyday i will never be able to just pick up and call him but he lives in my heart and i beleive that i will always hear from him in my heart, i love you dad... always remembered and never forgotten..

how can i share how i feel inside. poppa bear "curtis allen" was the best father, and friend i had. treated me as his son before it was official. we had a bond that will never be broken. when it came to pops i would have his back and he had mine. we had some good times together and i will never forget him and i will make him proud everyday and hold down the family. Pops and moms have been good to me. its only see you later and not goodbye because we will meet again on the other side some day and do some good fishing, and pops favorite- golfing!!! I love you poppa bear 4-eva!!!

To hear of my dear Uncle's passing was a shock made worse by time and distance. I hadn't seen Uncle Curtis for well over a year. When I last saw him he made sure to tell me how proud he was of me, my family and my acheivements. It always made me feel quite nice to receive his compliments. I enjoyed our time together when he came to our house in Belmont. We played golf and talked for a lot of hours. Those were great times. I wish I had the chance to do that just one more time.
There's really not much more praise you can give a man than to say he was a loving and kind husband/father/grandfather. And he was just that. Family mattered and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for family. I hope I can be as gracious with mine.
Good bye Uncle Curtis. I love you. You will be missed.

It is hard to sum up a lifetime of love and memories in these few lines. I can only say how very much I loved him. I know there is nothing I can say to ease your pain, but please know that I also love you, all of you, and you are never alone. Your husband/dad left behind a beautiful legacy, it is you and your grandchildren/children.
