Dorothy Hatterle Obituary
Dorothy was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania in 1951, to Thomas and Erma Slevin. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1969 and went on to attend MTI Business College to become a Medical Receptionist. In October 1970, Dorothy married Hilmar Hatterle. They lived in Lodi for many years and then moved to Wallace, California. Due to her disability Dorothy overcame many obstacles in her life. She had a great love for people and had an excellent memory for details. She loved attending family gatherings and telling stories. She passed her time doing seek a word puzzles and watching game shows. Dorothy loved taking trips to the coast with Hilmar. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and especially the family dog Blaze. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Amador Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
A memorial service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery on February 24, 2025 at 10AM.

Dear Hilmar and Michael, We are very sorry that Dorothy has passed away from this life, but we know she is now safe in the Lord's Hands...May He comfort you in your loss, and give you the assurance that you will meet again in heaven... She was a wonderful person and we know she suffered a lot because of her disability...we enjoyed the times we spent together with Dorothy and also you of course...I (Jeanette) have bronchitis so we will not be able to come to Dorothy's memorial service Monday the 24th...But our thoughts will be with you...Again, may God grant you comfort in your mourning... I am from Pittsburgh, PA and was a Sophomore with Dorthy and was a very good friend to her for that year. She was a wonderful and caring person who will be missed by those who came into contact with her. May she rest in peace without any pain!
