Elena Gonzales Obituary

Maria passed away on Thursday, May 1st, from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was 16 years old. Maria was born in Denver, CO and moved to Lodi 2 years ago.
Maria was a student at Lodi High School and transfered to Liberty High School. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, singing, talking on the phone and making people laugh.
Maria is survived by her mother, Amy Ashe; sister, Rosa Gonzales, both of Lodi, CA; Grandparents, Tom and Terry Gonzales, of Lakewood CO; Cathy and Arthur Ashe of Arvada, CO; Edna and Bill Wilson, Arvada, CO; Uncles, Troy Gonzales, Panama Central America; Christopher Munoy of Arvada, CO; aunt, Ruth Ashe, Albuquerque, NM; Great Grandparents, Halen Ashe, Albuquerque, NM; Ruth Gillagoes DenVerco, Donald Ham, Denver, CO; Great Great Grandma Dorthy Ham, Edgewater, CO; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maria was preceded in death by her father Thomas Gonzales, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at Temple Baptist Church on Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m.
Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.

This tragedy breaks our hearts and though we never knew Maria, we are connected in many ways. In getting to know Tom & Terry and Bill & Edna, we know that Maria was a very special person who touched many. What a beautiful, caring family. We are praying that God will keep you in his arms, draw you near to Him and assure you that He will never leave your side through these difficult times.

Tom & Terry, Bill & Edna - It was a pleasure getting to know you at Western Hills Skilled Nursing Facility as we visited my Dad, Rich Schiavone. We were sad to hear of the car accident and of Maria's passing. Strangely enough, a cousin of ours was close friends with Maria in Lodi (Nicole) so we had been praying for Maria through Nicole's update and also heard of the accident from Edna. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. You have shown such kindness to us, please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything at all.

oh my god.
i cant believe this happened.

i miss you sooooooooo much.
i think about you all of the time.
especially when i see your sister.=/
i love you guys..
and when i saw your picture in the paper..i cried soooooo hard.
then when i saw it again..i BALLED!
..because i realized that you were wearing my grey and white sweater.and i remembered all of the good times we had. =,(

i love and miss you sooo much!!
and so does every one else.
we helped eachother through A LOT!
you will always be in my heart..
i really dont know how im going to control my self from like.. falling on the floor and completly losing it at you funeral.

man, i miss you.
i still can't really believe your actually gone.
but it has finally hit me.

i miss you more than i thought i ever could.
seeing your picture still sometimes hurts to look at.

i feel bad for everytime i ever got mad at you and if i could i would take them all back.

i cant believe this really happened.
it sucks. :/
and i still dont believe it.

we had so many plans to do this summer. and now those can only be a wishful memories.

i hope you now know that you are loved and truely missed by all your family and friends. and i cant wait to chill with you in heaven.
