Fred and Eileen were a great match. Both enjoyed life and each other. My prayers to Eileen and Fred's family. Fred was full of life..he loved to dance at SHBoom's! So sad to hear of his passing.

I had the pleasure to be in the same office as Fred with the Franchise Tax Board in Oakland during the early 90's. While I was not lucky enough to work directly with him it was apparent that he was a man of great kindness and courtesy to everyone in the office. My sympathies to his friends and family.

What a shock to here of Fred's passing.
I had the privilege of working with Fred at the FTB. In fact he hired me. I always enjoyed his wit and his knowledge. The one thing that was always present in all he did was his gentleness and his kindness.
If you ever talked to Fred about older cars you could see Fred's face being to light up.
It was a privilege to work with such a loving and kind man.
My prayers go out to the family during this time of loss and that they can find peace during this time.

Life can sometimes seem so unfair. Loosing Fred was especially one of those times. I will always have fond and special memories for this man who so impacted my life. He was and always will be in my heart. My sincerest condolences.

We are deeply grieved to hear of your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathies. Fred was a wonderful person. He worked hard at whatever he was doing, enjoyed his jobs, loved people and was very proud of his family. He was always supportive of his family, friends and the day to day people whose lives he touched. We especially enjoyed sharing with Fred the love of old cars. We are all better people for having Fred touch our lives in one way or another. We will miss him.

Fred was my first supervisor when I joined the Franchise Tax Board in 1991, and I still remember how helpful and generous he was with his time and sense of humor. Fred was a good teacher and he will always be a part of the fabric of my FTB days.
May you find comfort in your time of sorrow; my heartfelt condolences.

My deepest sympathy to the family for their loss. We worked together in the Oakland office for the Franchise Tax Board since the mid-1990s. Fred was my boss in 2000 and he was a very calm and supportive supervisor. We are glad that he was able to take early retirement to enjoy life.

I met Fred in the San Jose office of the Franchise Tax Board back in the early 80s. Great guy, hard worker, and always there to help others. He did love cars!

Fred’s daughter and mine have been friends since, well, forever. Evidence of his character - of his ‘life well invested’ - can be seen in his legacy: Kristy and Mike. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
