George Hamilton Obituary

George Hamilton Jr., age 68, passed away in Sacramento, California on Wednesday August 16, 2017. George was born in May 13, 1949, in Sacramento, California.
He was preceded into death by his Father, George, Mother, Dorothy and his Brother, Jimmy.
George has left behind his brother, Bobby, and two sisters, Susie, and Pam, as well as his Step-Mother, Daisy, whom he was very close to, along with his native great uncle, Bob Burns.
George proudly served in the United States Army and was a survivor of the Vietnam War. After serving in Vietnam between 1970-1971, he returned home to his loving future wife, Linda who gave him two loving sons, Billy and Steven Hamilton. They've since welcomed their daughter in-law, Lisa Hamilton, (wife of Steven) who gave them two granddaughters, Taylor & Dani, and Billy's three sons, Marcus, Clayton, and Killiam to the beautiful family they have made.
George then joined and worked under Teamsters Union Local 150 and retired after 35 years in 2005.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and playing cards with his many family and friends.
He was proud of his native heritage and enjoyed watching his son, Billy and grandsons, Marcus and Killiam dance at their ceremonies. He was so happy that they carried on with their Indian roots of Wintu/Klamath pride.
George and Linda were married two weeks short of 46 loving years. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel.  A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on August 23, in the chapel.  Committal will be private.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or heart disease.  A guest book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com/

Thank you for being such an amazing grandfather to Taylor. I will miss your talks about your future plans and how thy made you look and feel so excited and happy. I love how you would do anything to make us feel comfortable on the trips you took us on. Santa Cruz and San Francisco will always be embedded in my head. I will forever take care of Taylor, and make sure she is always happy. I will also never forget the day you took Taylor and I to IHop, after I had arrived back here from Canada, I will never forget your face as you explained to us how happy you were to get your gold engraved tommy gun. I miss you and love you. Until we meet again.

We are so sad you are gone, Today we said goodbye to you. I just can't believe you are gone. This has been one of the hardest days of our lives. I will never forget all the pinichol games and laughing so hard we either spit a drink across the table or almost peeing our pants. Pipi trips and Tahoe or Reno trips so many other things we did. And our New Years eve card games either poker or pinichol games it just won't be the same without you with us. We will miss you so much. We love you and i promise we will take care of Linda.

I'm so heartbroken that your gone. I can't believe you won't be sitting across from me telling me about your doctor visits, or how your going to leave as soon as you have your surgery to go on your trip to Texas. There will be no more making fun of me and Linda getting freaked out about our ghost shows and let's not forget trying to figure out that game show Chain Reaction. You wont be there laughing while I'm giving Billy a hard time or there to listen about my weekend racing drama. I just can't wrap my head around it. Sugar is grieving for you too... She dont understand why your truck is outside and your not home. You should still be here with us all . Were all heartbroken and are going to miss you dearly. RIP George
