Jeanette Rose Plotz

1940 - 2023

Jeanette Rose "Gigi" (Podesta) Plotz, of Stockton, CA, passed away on July 31, 2023. Jeanette was born on October 11, 1940 to Dina (Arboco) and Bocchi Podesta in Stockton, CA. She attended Davis Elementary and graduated from Lodi High School in 1958, and went on to Humphrey's Business College to pursue a career as a legal secretary.
Jeanette worked for many of San Joaquin counties oldest and highly regarded companies, her first job was with Cavalero, Bray, Shumway, & Geiger Law firm, then on to SJ Farm Bureau and eventually finishing her career at Guntert Steel company.
On August 4, 1968 she married John Emmett "Jack" Plotz. They shared almost 55 years together, farming and ranching in the Linden area. Having no children of their own, they enjoyed their nieces and nephews ("the rent-a-kids"), and cultivated an enormous loving adopted family of friends who they shared vacations, travels, and monumental moments which always lead to hearing her infectious laugh bounding through the events.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law Ray Plotz. She is survived by her husband Jack Plotz, brother and sister-in-law John A. and Kathleen Podesta Sr, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Darlene and Donald Lupul. Nieces and Nephews Jennifer (Albert) Dondero, Julie (Pat) Carloni, John A. (Elyda) Podesta Jr, John (Tiffany) Lupul. Great Nieces and Nephews. Helene (Royce McPhee-Bayha) and Thomas Dondero, Alison and Christopher Carloni, Madison Podesta, Donovan and Simone Lupul.
As requested by Jeanette no services will be held. The family will have a private memorial at a later date to be determined.
