I still miss this man! Last week I even wanted to call him. He was an incredible, genuinely gracious gentleman and vey low key about his accomplishments and capabilities! I´ll never forget him.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Michael.
I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Michael and David at the P.A.M. Companies from 1986 1995. I always looked forward to the Annual Summer Company BBQ's Mr. and Mrs. Michael hosted at their home. Mr. Michael was a kind and generous man.
To David, siblings and family member, may the memories you shared with you father/grandfather bring you comfort at this difficult time.
With Deepest Sympathy

I am sorry to learn of Mr. Michael's passing. Joseph Michael was gracious and encouraging to me. I had the honor of working for him as real estate broker when his office was on Hunter Square. Then he offered me the privilege of working to help lease his beautiful office building and development on Kettleman Lane in Lodi throughout the time he built it. A truly great man. What wonderful, varied accomplishments he has achieved over his lifetime as a legacy to the benefit our community! I offer his family my heartfelt condolences, taking this occurrence to pause and appreciate his profound existence, his person.

Miriam, Sandy, Cindy & David, So sorry to read of the loss of you dad, Mr. Michael, I used to always call him "Mr. Michael" even though he would call me "Carol banana". I remember your dad and your mom fondly whenever I look over the back fence. My heart goes out to all of you at this time.

My deepest condolences to the family.
When Joe opened his Stockton law practice, he was in a partnership with the late Chris Papas (Michael & Papas). When Chris went onto the bench in 1959, Irving Corren went in with Joe (Michael & Corren).
In 1962 Joe brought me into the office. Our offices were on the 3rd floor of the BOA building on Sutter & Main Streets.
Joe & Chris built an office complex on Hunter & Park St. & we moved there in 1963.
While I was with Joe & Irving, Joe was the atty for the Chinese Lee Family Assn that built the Lee Ctr on Mkt street. That was Joe's 1st venture in getting federal funds for low cost housing for the underprivileged.
The Lee Ctr later became The Franco Ctr.
With the expertise he gained doing the Lee Ctr, Joe became known nationally as an expert in the field of federally funded grants for low cost housing.
I left the firm after a year & 1/2 to open my own practice with Joe Rishwain, Jr.
During my time with Joe, he was always a gentleman. He loved Shirley & his family.
I would see Joe every year at the St. Sharbel Lebanese dinner & I was always happy to talk with him.
I have the highest respect for Joe Michael
& we have been friends since 1962.
Frank Kim, Superior Ct. Judge (ret).
