LEE J. SAUSSER JR

1930 - 2025

Lee J. Sausser Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2025, at the age of 95.
Born on May 9, 1930, Lee lived a life marked by devotion to his family, his faith, his country, and his community. He proudly served in the United States Navy and remained a steadfast member of Grace Presbyterian Church throughout his life. His commitment to service extended into his community as a distinguished member of the Elks Lodge in Woodbridge, California, where he rose to its highest office of Exalted Ruler.
Lee's professional life was defined by his warmth and integrity. As a salesman of industrial supplies well into his 90's, he never saw his work just business-it was about relationships. He often said he was "going to see his friends" when visiting customers, a reflection of the genuine connections he nurtured over the years.
Lee is survived by his loving wife, Della; his sister Jan Nelson(Ron); his son Doyle Sausser(Lynn); his daughter, Pam Mertz(Tom); his grandchildren Amanda Mayer(Tyler) and Zachary Mertz(Mallory) and his great-grandchildren Mason Mayer, Noah Mayer, Addie Mertz, Connor Mertz and Ezra Mertz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee J. Sausser Sr. and Maybelle Sausser, his brother Jack Sausser and his cherished wife of over 50 years, Jody.
Lee's legacy is one of kindness, loyalty and unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would especially like to thank the kind staff at Balance Assisted Living and Memory Care, and Vitas Hospice for their excellent care and kindness they all extended to Lee.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Woodbridge California. All who knew and loved Lee are welcome to attend and honor his remarkable life.
