Margarita Ornelas Obituary
Margaret moved to the Lodi area with her family in 1960. After graduating from Lodi High School in 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, Ernest Madrid Ornelas. They would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in November.
After working at K Mart for 22 years, Margaret returned to school, attending MTI Business College. Soon thereafter was employed as a medical receptionist at Lodi Health Urgent Care. She truely enjoyed her job there of over 10 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother, a loving grandmother, and a kind and gentle friend. She showered her family with her lifelong passion of cooking, baking, and sewing. And her laughter and joyful spirit will truly be missed by many, especially her grandchildren whom she referred to as "the sunshine of my life". And her work family who considered her the "ultimate prayer warrior".
She leaves behind many broken hearts including her husband, Ernest; children, Ernie Ornelas Jr, Tricia Ornelas (Gallo) and Tracy (Jayson) Walsh; grandchildren, Dominic, Marisol, Felisha, Alexia, Layla, Genevive and Delilah; sibling, Consuelo (Rafael), Jose (Marie), Ramon (Diane), Ramiro, Ana (Luis), Severa (Andrew), Pilar (Marie), Victor (Olimpia), Humberto, Linda, and Sara (Kelly); her Tia Olivia Presas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Margaret is now resting comfortably in the arms of her Mom and Dad who preceded her in death and her Savior Jesus Christ, whom she prayed to daily.
Contributions may be made to Bank of the West, 229 S. Church St., Lodi, "Memorial Fund for Margarita Marroquin Ornelas". There will be a Visitation on Thursday, September 7th, from 6pm-8pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, September 8th at 10am. All services are being handled by Faith Community Church, located at, 18621 N. Highway 99, Acampo, CA.

Marge, I always remember all the times I spend with ALL of you guys (cousins) those were such good days!! Now the Lord called you home, you'll be with Your Mom & Dad & so many family members that are waiting for all of us.

She was an amazing mom to me for 24 years and an amazing ma to my kids. I have so many good memories of the times we shared. I can't believe she is gone my heart is so broken. Margaret I miss you so much and I love you !! I'm happy you are in heaven with grandma and grandpa. We all have a Guardian angel watching over us now. ❤
