Paul Larsen Obituary

Paul J. Larsen, 66, of 325 N. Houghton Ave., Manistique, Mich., died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in Manistique.
Paul was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio. He lived in Arizona and California as a child and graduated from high school in Lodi Calif. He later served in the U.S. Marine Corp in Vietnam. He was wounded in action and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
Paul was employed as an electrician at General Mills in Lodi, and retired from there. He moved to Manistique in July of 1999, from Lodi, and worked as an electrician at Carmeuse-Port Inland in Gulliver, Mich. He retired from there also.
He was a member of the Schoolcraft County V.F.W. Post No. 4420 of Manistique, Manistique Elks Club, Manistique Moose Club, and Manistique Eagles Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and also playing cards, especially euchre and cribbage.
Paul enjoyed his time with others and had an infectious laugh. He was a very kind and generous person and he would do anything for you. He was well respected and loved and was a father-figure to many.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Angela Larsen of Lodi, son, Dana (Joann) Larsen of Stockton, Calif.; grandchildren Kyle Williams, Brandon Larsen and Alexis Carlson-Larsen; great-grandchild, Adan Medoza; father, Eddie "Papa" Seibel of Lodi; brothers, David (Anna) Cooper, Geno (Kitty) Cooper, Randy Cooper, Kaylem Cooper, Eddie John (Brenda) Seibel and Mark Seibel, all of Lodi; sisters Barbette (Joel Hoholik of Friendship, Wis., Robin (Lenny) Archambault of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cindy (Mike) Robinson of Stockton; along with a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Seibel; sister, Luwana Zeer; and grandson, Michael Paul Larsen.
Paul will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held in Lodi, CA - date is pending.
