ROBERT (BOB) COMBS Obituary

With a grieving heart we announce that Bob has passed away on December 15, 2025. He was born in Lodi, Ca. on January 31, 1937 to Marshall Welch Combs and Lois Irene Combs. Bob served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He graduated from Lodi High School and Delta College. He worked for PG&E and PSEA and retired from PSEA.
Bob married Jean Bender and just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in Hawaii. Bob played softball all his life and participated in the Lodi Big Valley Senior Softball league into his early 80s. He loved to watch the S.F. Giants baseball games and the S.F. 49er football games. He loved to garden and had a regular green thumb with everything he grew. He enjoyed camping, especially his and Jean's trips to Palm Springs with their beloved Portuguese Water Dogs.
Bob was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jean. Four children: Michael (Kim), Darla (Kenny), Kevin, Tim (Judy). Ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Lois and 1 grandchild, Alexander Michael.
Per Bob's request he will be cremated at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery and with a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

I send my condolences to the entire family. He was a joy to work with at PG&E so many years ago. I enjoyed talking with him everytime we ran into each other in later years.
