I just learned of Steve's passing this morning. I am so sorry to hear this! I worked for Steve and Bev for about 7 years in the original Borra Tasting Room, a job I really loved. Steve taught me so much about wine and winemaking. He was a good, gracious man with a lovely family. I send my love to all of you and will keep you in my prayers.

I remember riding in that Plymouth Fury. We loved our go fast cars in the 60's. Roger and I spent many fun times at the Borra's sitting in the yard watching our children play.
My prayers are with Bev and the family during these difficult days.
Love, Edie

When I heard from Barb V. of Steve's passing, I was saddened but also heartened by the memory of the few conversations I had with him when visiting the Borra tasting room. Steve and I had similar and overlapping childhoods, although we had never met until much later in life.
One of my lifelong quests has been to find the perfect barbera, and the Borra barbera was as close to perfect as I had ever tasted, then or since. Karen and I had one of our precious bottles of '13 Borra barbera with dinner last night in Steve's memory. It was still the best ever.
Blessings to the Borras, Marcus and Barb.
