Toshiko Yoshioka Obituary

Toshiko Yoshioka passed away at the age of 95 in Lodi on December 22, 2020. She was born March 31, 1925 in Lodi, California. Toshiko was the head cook at the Houston School in Acampo for over 30 years. She was a long time member of the Lodi Buddhist Temple.
Toshiko was preceded in death by her husband, Hideo Yoshioka; and her son, Dennis Yoshioka. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jean Blass; daughter-in-law, Judy Yoshioka; and her three granddaughters, Stephanie Knight, Marisa Yoshioka, and Carly Yoshioka.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lodi Funeral Home.

When we moved to Lodi in the 1960's Toshi was a cook at Houston School. She was not only a wonderful cook but she was a kind, generous and thoughtful person. I especially remember a a gift she made for our children. She will be missed by many. Sincerely, Lois Ostgaard Finch

I am a Houston School graduate and often bragged to my family about Toshi and her cooking! I have many fond memories of her and the balanced and delicious meals she provided the students at Houston School. I have missed her and her meals, especially her pizza! My condolences go out to her family and friends. She is missed.

I remember Toshi while at Houston school.I loved going into the cafeteria to just talk to her(and get her yummy cinnamon rolls)..Rest In Paradise Miss Toshi❣

Toshi was our neighbor who became a part of our family. When our boys were little they would often disappear in search of Oreo cookies, and they knew just where they could find some. She was Aunt Toasti to them. It is very difficult to express the loss we feel. Toshi will be forever in our hearts.
