Alice Ellison Obituary
Born Feb. 9, 1933 in Vinton County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Dolorne and Mary Mandana (Johnston) Greathouse.
During life, Alice worked as a teller at the former Farmers and Merchants National Bank in Logan, Ohio. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Venus Chapter #76 as well as the White Shrine of Jerusalem Mt. Pleasant Shrine #57.
Alice is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Pace of Tallahassee, Florida; nephew, Morris Ray
(Lauren) Pace of Tallahassee, Florida; great-nieces Caroline Shoaf Pace, Ashley Raines Pace,
and great-nephew, Jeffery Kenneth (Rachael) Pace, grand-niece Sutton Louise Pace and grand-
nephew Marshall Allan, of St. Petersburg, Florida. Additionally, niece-in-law, John Kenneth
Greathouse's wife Kristin Backstrom Greathouse, great nephews Derek and Justin Greathouse.
Niece, Katherine (Eric) Risinger, great niece Ella Risinger, niece, Jennifer Parrotta and her son, grand-nephew, Derrick (Jessie) Greathouse.
Besides her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Dillon Ellison (1985); brother, John Johnston Greathouse; nephew, John Kenneth Greathouse; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Pace.
A graveside funeral service officiated by Joshua N. Martin will be held in Elk Cemetery in McArthur, Ohio at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, Alice's family suggests donations in her memory may be made to ALS United Ohio, 1170 Old Henderson Road Suite 221, Columbus, OH 43220.
