Helen Heskett Obituary

Helen L. (Denney) Heskett, age 93, of Lancaster, passed away on Feb. 3, 2025 at Arbors at Carroll. She was born in Lancaster on Oct. 13, 1931, daughter of the late Lorain and Irene (Lindsey) Denney. She owned and operated Heskett Upholstery for 46 years. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, strong work ethic, and thriftiness.

Helen is survived by sons, David and Anna Heskett of Lancaster, Wayne and Julie Heskett of Lancaster, and Timothy and Phyllis Heskett of Logan; over 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Kendra McCormick, and Linda Barnes, who spent many summers with Helen and thought of her like a mother.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roy Heskett; parents, Lorain and Irene Denney; brother, Donald Denney; sisters, Evelyn Walters and Marjorie McCormick: and special friend, Bob Johnson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends and family may visit from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at Sheridan Funeral Home.
