Jerry Daugherty Obituary
He was born Oct. 31, 1938 in Phelps, Kentucky, son of the late Leonard and Shirley Wolford Daugherty. Jerry was married to Bonnie Webb Daugherty, who survives.
He retired as a mechanic at Roadway Express.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Jeff Daugherty of South Bloomingville, and Greg Daugherty of Rockbridge; daughters, Ramona (Harold) Daubenmire of Logan, and Sherry (Larry) Butcher of Logan; stepsons, Edward (Kayla Powell) Cavinee of Murray City, and Mike (Melissa) Keplar of Buchtel; stepdaughters, Shanarae (Paul) Brookshire of Texas, Debbie (Paul) Payne of Cincinnati, and Billy (Rusty Conrad) Keplar of Bremen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Daugherty of Daytona Beach, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Daugherty; and sisters, Gloria Gutzman, Janice Tennent and Betty Griffin.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Jim Phillips officiating.
Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from noon until the time of service.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Jerry G. Daugherty to Helping Hands Ministries, 953 Homer St., Logan, Ohio, 43138.

Grandpa Jerry was a loving and caring man, from the first day I met him he always strove to put God first in his life and walk hand in hand with my grandmother through every endeavor. He will be missed, but the knowledge that he is far from forgotten and we will all be reunited again lets me move with peace in his passing. I love you Jerry.

To Bonnie, Mona, Jeff, Greg and Sherry. I am Soooooo sorry for your loss of Jerry. He was a good man! He was good to my mom, dad and myself. I am very grateful for the kindness and patience he showed to Mary Ann thru the years! Not all men would have opened their homes to a challenged family member but he did! God will surely bless him!!

Jerry has always been the sweetest, most caring, selfless person and I am so glad he was a part of my Mom's life! I am so privileged to have gotten to know him. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was not ashamed for everyone to know it. He will be missed so much! Rest in peace and I pray we meet again on the other side in Glory!!!
